Luke Jericho has transferred from West Adelaide Football Club to the Norwood Football Club, and has been cleared to play for that club.

Luke sought a release from West Adelaide on the grounds that he wanted a fresh start and has for several years not felt comfortable there.

Discussions were then taken between, Luke, West Adelaide and the Adelaide Football Club. As a result of those discussions the West Adelaide Football Club agreed to negotiate with the Norwood Football Club using the SANFL's Clearance Rules and Points system.

West Adelaide although reluctant to lose a player of Luke's calibre felt it was in the best interest of all parties, including themselves, for the change to take place. The Adelaide Football Club has had no issues with the way the West Adelaide Football Club has handled Luke, this was more about a personal choice.

The West Adelaide Football Club reports, "We are disappointed Luke wanted to leave the club, however after discussion with him it was clear this was a long standing issue and the club is currently about building a team of young players who really want to play at this club".

The Norwood Football Club said: "We are pleased to give Luke an opportunity to play at our club and we see him as a long term contributor to our developing list".
