Jesse
Aish from the Norwood
Football Club has
been named the Round
Seven Coca-Cola
Star Search Award
nominee.
In his first League
game of the season
and just his second
League appearance,
20 year old Aish
was
named in the Redlegs
best in their 11
point victory over
West Adelaide at
Broadspectrum Oval
on
Saturday.
Playing on the half
forward line, Aish
had a real impact
on the game accumulating
15 possessions,
including 12 kicks,
3 handballs and
3 goals, 2 of which
were scored in the
crucial stages of
the last quarter.
A product of the
Norwood Football
Clubs junior
system, Aish has
waited patiently
to play his second
League match after
suffering a hamstring
injury during the
pre-season. Norwoods
Football Operations
Manager, Jamie Mason
says "Aish
is an exciting player
with the ability
to kick goals, take
a mark under pressure
and play as a running
midfielder".
Jesse is the son
of former Norwood
champion and SA
Football Hall of
Fame Member, Michael
Aish.
Introduced for the
first time this
season, the Coca-Cola
