Norwood Football Club women’s Captain Rebekka McMahon posed the question to League Naming sponsor Statewide Super “when SANFL team win the flag, we see the colours painted on the West End Brewery, where will we see the women’s”?. Statewide Super responded with covering an Adelaide Metro Bus in not only the Redlegs’ colours, but the celebratory team photo taken right after the historic win in the inaugural Statewide Super SANFL Women’s League Grand Final.
Unveiled on Tuesday, the bus will make its journey through Norwood, down to Henley Beach, for three months.
“We were incredibly proud to be the naming rights sponsor of the SANFL women’s league in its very first year and a public display of the winning team’s colours is an extension of that,” Statewide Super CEO Richard Nunn said.
“By giving the women’s league a moving billboard, in the form of a bus, we hope we can really get the competition into the public arena and continue to pique the community’s interest in the women’s game.”
Norwood Football Club CEO James Fantasia said it was an exciting way to celebrate the inaugural women’s league premiers.
“I look forward to seeing the bus around town, especially going up and down the Parade”
