Friday night’s game against West was a tight contest for most of the night. The group responded from a reasonably poor first half with a significant improvement in tackling pressure which created some scoring opportunities and a 47 point margin; a score that makes the win appear easier than it actually was.
Our group is proving to be resilient when challenged however. Jaryd Cachia played his best game for the club, James Aish was outstanding again and the defensive group put in a strong performance. We play Sturt this week and have the opportunity to go into the State game bye with seven wins; going along way towards ensuring finals participation.
I would like to congratulate Robbie Neill’s U/16 team on winning the Grand Final over the weekend, defeating Glenelg by 7 points. He puts together a terrific program for them and I am sure many of the players that played will go on and play at higher levels.
